prepared by Mary Jane Atwood of Bristol, Conn. Ira Hooker served as a private
in Colonel Baldwin's Regiment of Artificers. He enlisted (from Farmington)
October 3, 1777, at the age of seventeen years. He was in the War three
years, serving at Brandywine, Germantown and Monmouth. His name is found in
the Pension rolls.
